Our Cali trip
We had a wonderful trip to California, thanks to Kaatlin's High Impact Dance group who performed in California Adventure and Disneyland (it gave us some incentive:) We drove down to San Diego to start, talk about a long drive poor kids. We camped a little and got rained on a bit. We went to Sea World some of the favorites were; Shamuh(Chris), river raft ride(Kaatlin), and an Arctic Ride(Nathanael). Next we were off to San Diego Zoo can we say huge and beautiful. We really enjoyed it with it's tour which was so informative. Hearing the love the employees have for there work and seeing the animals in such beautiful enviroments was great. Now we were on to Anaheim but we headed to Universal Studios before Disney. Which was fun with the backlot tour and crazy rides. The kids were pretty spooked with scary rides but Nathanael was the most adventurous. The kids favorite must have been the Shrek 4D show but Laurel loved loved loved seeing the character Curious George and Dora who both came up to Laurel, so fun. California Adventure was next with our favorites of California Screamin Roller Coaster(Chris), Tower of Terror(Mandy), Bugs Life and Toy Story Mania (kiddos). With the kids scared of the rides my wonderful Mom took all my kids for the night so Chris and I could go on some of the bigger rides without having to trade places, it is amazing how much you can see without children in tow. Some of our Disney favorites have to be the Jedi Training Academy(Seth, Nathanael & Kaatlin where chosen as younglings and graduated to padawan) Kaatlin fought Darth Maul and the boys Darth Vader. Laurel loved the princess and the fairies she just beamed when she met them, I loved that.
In addition to the parks we were able to see some beautiful LDS Temples in Sacremento, San Diego, Portland and New Port temples. It is always a wonderful peaceful experience to see these houses of the Lord.
It was a great trip with lots of great shows and wonderful time with lots of family(my mom and sister and family, and Chris' parents, brothers, and sister. Lots to remember. It is also great to be home. HOORAY FOR HOME!
