Kaatlin's 9 & her Girlie Party

We can hardly believe it our Kaatlin is 9 years old. It is a strange thing to think back on how much Kaatlin has changed since being a baby. Life is truly miraculous. Let me think a little bit about who Kaatlin is ...
  • Passionate (generally about getting things her own way)
  • Sweet (she genuinely cares about people and tries to comfort those in need)
  • stubborn
  • talented (we would like to think she is musically talented but mostly we just love seeing her achieve and enjoy things especially art and music)
  • hard working
  • fun
  • stylish (her own style, which I don't always agree with, but that is ok.:)
  • a pleasure to be with, most the time.

Kaatlin was lucky enough to have here actual birthday on a Saturday so we asked her what she wanted to do. She chose to have a "kid party" one of her boy friends couldn't come so we just had a girlie party. They played, made little ladybug pins, made their own personal pizzas, and had a treasure hunt (all with Kaatlin's approval). They all seemed to have a great time we were a little disappointed more school friends couldn't attend but that is what you get with only 4 days notice. So she had her older girl cousins (Hannah, Naomi, Riana & Sariah) and a friend from school (Brittany).

Kaatlin had a pretty good day she started out going to the store to pick up her cake (which we never buy) and pick our party favors. Than we gave her a new dress and got her hair cut. I wish I was as pampered on my birthday.

Angela and I checked your blog...and to our delight, you had updated it with new pics and info about you guys! We were sooo excited! Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. It is a great way to journal and keep those you want updated on your life. Awesome! It is so fun to see that picture of Kaatlin, and hear all about her party, she is certainly growing up to be such a beautiful, talented, wonderful young woman. Craziness! I still remember when she was a little baby!

I just can not believe how grown up Kaatlin looks in that picture! WOW! Crazy! Also cute one of her party. My girls had a blast! And those ladybug pins were adorable! I was so glad to read all about the party on here and more about Kaatlin. How fun! So glad you posted more! Also awesome heading (I guess that is what you get with a computer savy hubby or did you do it), and with the pic I took. :) Yeah! You guys are the most photogenic family I have ever seen!

We are so glad you both approve. Elizabeth had made Chris feel guilty because he hadn't done anything so I decide to help out.
