Halloween Fun!

We all had a fun Halloween. The kids each got the costume of choice. We splurged this year and bought costumes but it was worth it. Kaatlin and Benjamin were both Pirates. Laurel was the CUTEST little bunny rabbit. Nathanael and Seth were both spiderman.
After finishing our school work we went over to Grammie's work. Where the kids were thoroughly oohed and awed over and treated to yummy treats. It is always fun to go there so my mom can show off the kids.
We followed this up by going to the Trunk or Treat at church, which the kids had all been looking forward to for a long time. It was fun getting all the goodies and seeing friends from church.
We finished up our evening over at Grandma and Grandpa Cheney's. The kids always love going over to "Joe's house". There Grandma gave them special treats and treated us all to yummy doughnuts and apple cider.
It was a late evening but turned out pretty well.
My personal favorite part of Halloween was our only group of Trick or Treaters. We had 3 teen boys come by, which I initially thought oh brother. Kaatlin came to me telling me they were at the door wanting to give them candy. But then she came back to me and said they were trick or treating for the local Food Bank. Isn't that the greatest idea! I felt really grateful that I was home when they came by.

Check out the posing, it was all they kids own idea. They are hilarious!

I love the costumes and reading about how fun your festivities were! I'm sad that we couldn't be there to partake in the goodies with you! I love that those teen boys were doing some charitable work for the food bank! How neat!

I love the picture with your mom, Mandy. Everyone looks so happy to be with Grammy. It's a good thing Laurel was a bunny to balance out all those tough Spiderman and pirate characters. One of my favorite parts about the kids' costumes was that you gave Laurel an Easter basket to collect her treats in. It was cute. The poses are great too. The boys sending their webs and Kaatlin looks like she's "on guard" to take on a pirate's enemy.
