First to make the double digits

Yes, Kaatlin turned 10 at the beginning of this month. She is growing up in so many ways. But we still remember our sweet little Kaatlin and laugh about her funny ways...

Some of our favorite Kaatlin sayings/moments are...

• "you" for I love you. It still makes me teary to remember how sweetly she would express her love when she was 1-2.
• "I want to show you something guys...CHICKEN BUTT" This is still a huge laugh riot. When Kaatlin was 2-3 years old we told her that little rhyme "guess what , chicken butt" (wonderful parenting moment right:) so this was her take on the rhyme "I want to show you something guys...CHICKEN BUTT" shouted loud and with lots of laughter. It is probably one of those had to be there moments.
• Kaatlin has always been loving to her newest siblings and has never been jealous of a new sibling. I remember when we went for a walk when Nathanael was just a newborn. Chris had him in a front pack carrier and he was all hidden away, Kaatlin didn't notice him in there. As soon as we walked out the door she started back crying and crying "where phanael, where phanael". She refused to leave that apartment without her baby brother. She wasn't satisfied until Chris bent down and showed her Nathanael all tucked away. It is this perfect memory of how much she really loved her brother from the beginning.
  

Kaatlin expresses herself very well now and is definitely more passionate:) As a ten year old she is still very inquisitive to the world around her and understands everything at a more meaningful level. We feel really blessed to have her as our oldest daughter and big sister. She can be quite the mother's helper. We all really love Kaatlin. She is our treasure.
