Harriet the Spy book review

Here is Kaatlin's book review of Harriet the Spy that she wanted to share. What's Harriet's secret that only her nanny, Golly, knows? Will her friends find out that she is a spy and has written about them? To find out the answers to my questions you'll have to read Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh.
Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh is a book about a girl named Harriet who wants to be a writer when she grows up so she becomes a spy. Next we learn that her friends turn against her because she wrote something mean about her friends that she shouldn't have and her friends found out about it. You'll have to read the book to find out the rest. Well she get her friends back?
The book takes place in the present in a city. She lives by her school and walks to her school. She goes to other peoples places and spies on them which my brothers don't think is nice.
Harriet is a spy. Her age is 11 years old. She has brown hair and white colored skin. She is a sneaky kind of girl. Like when she looks through a guys window on the top of his house and watches him. Then she writes how he has so many cats and people are trying to get his cats but they are never able to.
One of her friends is Sport. He looks kind of poor. And he has brown hair color and white colored skin just like Harriet. His character is helpful. He is good at cooking and cleaning. The reason he has to do this is because his dad doesn't have a real job and is away so he has to pay for the food too. And take care of the house.
Louise Fitzhugh was born in Tennessee in October 1928 and she died by brain aneurysm at the age of 46. Before that she wrote the books of Suzy Bean and Harriet the Spy, which I'm talking about right now, and The Long Secret. My favorite quote from Louise Fitzhugh is; "People who love work love life." to me it sound kind of true, it is from Harriet the Spy and is something Golly, Harriet's nanny says.
I really liked this book! It is my favorite book of all because when I was 9 years old I would spy with my cousins. I definitely relate to Harriet because I like to write as much as her too. If you are a girl who likes a little mystery and wants to read about spies, you will like this book.

Great Review! I love the quote about "those who love to work, love life." It seems if there is no work, things grow stale and old, work brings fresh replenishment to everything.
