The Lion King

I had the chance to go see the Broadway production of "The Lion King" when it played at the Paramount Theatre recently. I went with my mom and sisters as a Christmas/birthday present to my mom. I wish I could have brought the kids but the tickets are so pricey. Maybe we should may a tradition of it. We had a great time and really enjoyed the incredible costumes and amazing singing. We had seats on the main floor on the aisle and had so many of the performers in these elaborate costumes walking right past us so we go a really great view. I don't if I can happily go back to the nose bleed section just for the sake of spending less. Anyway it was wonderful!!! We are thinking of seeing Wicked when it comes to Seattle in September for our next big outing.

My two favorite scenes were; Mufasa and Simba singing in the starry night about how he'll always be there for his son "They live in you", and the other was all the lioness' singing with Nala as she journeys to find something better for her pride, "Shadowland" Both were so moving I loved it.

That is so awesome that you got to go. That was playing in London when I went to school and I remember videotaping the sign outside for one of my video projects I filmed the broadway section of London. That was as close as I got though, it was pretty new, and I remember thinking it was probably really good.

Those were awesome! Thanks for sharing. I really liked the Shadowland one. It's neat that they have new songs in it, to help tell the story better (compared with the cartoon).

What an awesome girl's night out! Expensive but it sounds like it was memorable and definitely worth it! :)
